Herbal Practitioner
and
Marie McLelland-Leger
R.P.N & Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist

Lindsay Foot Care & Reflexology Centre

Sharon Floyd & Marie McLelland-Leger
Sharon and Marie

With these two professionals on your team you just can't go wrong.

For over 25 years Sharon has pursued a variety of courses in integrated health care. She has studied a wide range of healing modalities including Herbalism, meditation, stress management, nutrition, Chi Kung energy exercises, Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Aromatherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique to name a few. In addition to being a Certified Massage Practitioner with her Pearls of Health business, Sharon is also a Herbal Practitioner.

Marie started her foot care career in 1989 with the VON. Since then she has re-certified with Durham College Oshawa receiving diplomas in basic, advanced and diabetic foot care. She completed a conservative foot care management with Apex Foot Health Industries, receiving her certificate in spring 2004. Following her passion for foot care she opened the Lindsay Footcare Centre in May of 2004. In September 2005 Marie enrolled at Fleming College, Peterborough, and completed the Foot Reflexology Certification course through the Reflexology Association of Canada. Not stopping there she went on to achieve a teacher's certificate level for the Reflexology Association of Canada. Actively being a board of Director and serving as Vice Chair for the Reflexology Association has opened other doors to learning. Marie now studies meridian therapy along with her newest interest of herbs and essential oils.

Sharon's interest in integrated health care was sparked by her own health challenges as a cancer survivor. This began her desire to explore and learn about as many avenues to health as possible, incorporating techniques for helping to heal body, mind and spirit.

After studying Clinical Herbalism for two years Sharon started making her own handmade, all natural herbal products. After sharing these products with family and friends, she began getting repeated requests for her lip balms, herbal teas, healing salves & tinctures. Over the last 10 years, along with her husband Jim, Sharon has continued to expand the number of herbal products she makes and now has an extensive line of items. All products are handmade in small batches, using local plants and natural ingredients as available. Sharon and her husband often offer Herb Walks to the public, helping participants to identify and learn about medicinal plants growing in the fields and forests.

Sharon and Marie met at a Health Promotion Day at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay and sparking each other's interest the rest became history. Sharon and Marie teamed up to offer Sharon's products for sale through the Lindsay Footcare Centre. Marie offers a range of footcare services and is now offering not only her clients, but the general public as well, the opportunity to purchase Sharon's products through her Centre.

Marie felt it made sense to offer her clients a complimentary approach to promote wellness. Having Sharon's herbal products in her centre has proven to be effective in allowing her to provide natural aids to help all kinds of health problems from arthritic pain, frozen shoulder, restless legs and even shingles pain.

Because of the toxic world we live in many people are now seeking more natural products to maintain and improve their health. Some of Sharon's products are for internal use, such as herbal honeys, digestion and sleepy time teas and seasoning salts. The majority of her products are for external use and incorporate healing plants and essential oils.

At a visit to the Lindsay Footcare Centre you are likely to find such natural products as anti-itch creams, healing salves, moisturizing lip balms, body lotions, bath and foot salts, body butters and creams, aromatherapy body spritzers, massage oils, hand and foot soaks, body powders, cuticle and nail oils, pain ointments, natural insect repellents, and more.

Try out some of these customized handmade, all natural products and see the difference for yourself, and keep an eye out for fall courses and classes. Drop in or call Marie at:
