Nicole & Donna Rowett
Country Treasures ... Gifts from the Heart

Growing up for the last 13 years in her home in Lindsay with her parents Brad & Donna, Nicole was always surrounded with the sweet ambiance of country treasures thanks to her mother's talents at decor.

After graduating with her B.A. from Sir Sandford in Peterborough and six years of part time retail work, Nicole partnered with her mother in a new and exciting venture. They decided it was time to fulfill their dreams and go it on their own with their very first retail store where they could enjoy supplying the beautiful and unique gifts and country treasures to everyone who came by.

Nicole and her Mother Donna opened their store in July of this year. Visiting Country Treasures is an unique and delightful experience. A tour of their store is like browsing through a wonderland of gifts, it's hard to know where to look first, not to mention the delightful fragrance of their scented candles as soon as you enter the front door.

Nicole's Dad Brad has also been very helpful in their joint endeavour. Although he is working at his full time job he has found time to help with building shelves, painting and other work to help put the store together, not to mention the unique wood crafts he makes which are for sale in the store. This is truly a family effort that has, according to Nicole, already exceeded her expectations. Business has been great and they are all looking forward to a very busy Christmas season.

Starting up her business, Nicole put many hours in researching the demographics of the area and the need for her store and the unique products she is able to supply. Searching for suitable vendors took many hours of burning the midnight oil scented candles researching the internet. Fortunately her dealings with the City went smoothly and in no time, with determination and hard work and support from her family she was able to pull it all together. Nicole tells us that although it might be a bit premature, her aspirations for the future would be to see herself opening another store in another location. Who knows... The sky is the limit!
